Motorpoint is set to create 30 new roles with the opening of its latest branch in Stockton-On-Tees in mid-December.
The UK’s leading independent car retailer is busy transforming the former Jennings Ford dealership on Yarm Road in time for Christmas as part of its ongoing nationwide expansion programme.
Motorpoint, which has a network of branches throughout England, Scotland and Wales, including a long-established branch in Birtley, County Durham, is set to open the doors to its branch on Friday, December 18 following a multi-million pound investment in the five acre site.
Customers who would like to purchase a vehicle before the branch opens will be able to do so via Motorpoint’s dedicated free home delivery service which it launched nationally in March backed by a 14-day money-back guarantee.
Motorpoint now embarks on a recruitment drive with the Sunday Times Top 100 Company to Work for award-winning business looking to fill dedicated roles in Customer Services, Management, Sales and Vehicle Preparation over the coming weeks.
The site, which in a previous life was a former Cooperative Wholesale jam factory for many years, will stock up to 500 low mileage, nearly new cars and light commercial vehicles from 30 different manufacturers’, most of which are under three years old and with less than 30,000 miles.
Every vehicle is checked by experts from Motorpoint and comes with the balance of manufacturer’s warranty and also backed by the Motorpoint Price Promise. This means Motorpoint will refund the difference to any customer within seven days of their order if they find the same car cheaper from a competitor. As an added bonus, Motorpoint will also give the customer £50 worth of Amazon vouchers to spend.
Motorpoint has also made contactless collection standard at all of its branches in the wake of COVID-19. This facility allows customers to adhere to the latest social distancing guidelines and choose, buy and drive away without any physical contact with a member of staff. This includes Motorpoint’s Unaccompanied Test Drive offering where customers can test drive their chosen vehicle without someone from Motorpoint being present in the car.
