My Sister’s Place Charity Clicks for Large Event

My Sister’s Place, the Middlesbrough based domestic abuse charity that offers support to women aged over 16 years and their children, took their annual ball of 2019 to the next level this month with some impressive activities and sponsors.

Held at Gisborough Hall, the event saw many of the area’s influential companies come together to take a stand against abuse and celebrate the work of the volunteers and staff at the impressive charity. And the night raised £13,000 for the worthy cause.

One company that stepped forward to make sure the event went with a swing and boosted its fundraising through social media with an outstanding photo experience is SK Click Events.

Middlesbrough based Kirsty Calvert, owner of SK Click Events has recently invested over £100,000 in state of the art products that bring photo experiences to events, making them memorable and fun, boosting profile, especially digitally and through social media channels.

The company offered to support the event at a special charitable rate, to make sure the word about the charity and its fundraising page was spread far and wide.

Most excitingly, SK Click unveiled a brand new product to the region, recently brought back from a trade delegate trip to Las Vegas and making My Sister’s Place the first to benefit from its technology.

The SK Glam Cam took stunning GIFs of the attendees at the ball on the 10th May, supporting the events hashtag #MSPBRO, and collecting contact details of participants in a GDPR compliant way.

Claire Rushby, Fundraiser at My Sister’s Place, said:

“This is our sixth annual charity ball at My Sisters Place, with the night being a prominent event in our fundraising calendar. Fundraising is a significant part of the work we do as we look to sustain our services and work in an increasingly challenging financial environment for charities.

These events are about so much more than a ‘good night out’ they are about raising awareness about the charity and we would like to thank our main sponsors Northern Bespoke Development and HMH Civils for offering ongoing support to the charity. Furthermore we would like to thank our associated sponsors MC Ware and Watson Woodhouse Solicitors. SK Click provided us with a fun opportunity to make sure that we had GIFs from the event on many social media platforms raising awareness of domestic abuse and of My Sisters Place.

My Sister’s Place’s work extends to the wider community through education and awareness raising to create a cultural shift of zero tolerance to domestic abuse. The charity is active on social media, raising awareness of domestic abuse both locally and nationally. We would welcome enquires from anyone who feels they can support the charity, make a donation or complete fundraising for the charity.”
