Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

North East Auction Firm Boosts Apprenticeships as more homes than ever go under the hammer

Pattinons Estate AgentsLeading North East auction house Pattinson Auction is expanding its apprenticeship scheme to keep up with demand from more and more people in the North East seeking to find their dream home under the hammer.

The expansion comes as statistics showed that across Britain the average house price rose by 84 per cent over the 15 years between 2000 and 2015, with the average North East House price heading above £300,000 by 2030.

If house prices continue to rise until 2030, it would result in the average London home rising above £1m and the average in many areas of England hitting £500,000. In the North East such a rise would see average house prices hit £279, 985 in Durham, £305,227 in Tyne and Wear and £316,026 in Northumberland.

Part of Keith Pattinsons Estate Agents, Pattinson Auction, has built up a reputation for completing hundreds of successful auctions over the last 20 years, and is currently on the lookout for staff for their North East offices.

As the business continues to grow, Pattinson Auction are now looking to recruit enthusiastic young apprentices’ looking to build a successful career within one of the country’s leading auction houses and help build on the achievements of the last two decades.

“Our apprenticeship scheme offers young people a strong start as they begin their careers. They will gain invaluable on the job training and experience which will increase their knowledge of the industry and set them up for their future careers with Pattinsons.

Dan Lartey, an Auction Administration apprentice from North Tyneside said “I love being a part of house auctions. It is really exciting and you never know what will come under the hammer next. I am just about to complete my level 2 apprenticeship, and can’t wait to continue. In my time at Pattinsons, I have gained a lot of experience and would definitely recommend auction to those thinking of starting out in estate agency”

As part of their apprenticeship programme, Pattinsons provide full training, with information on aspects of sales, rental, legal and policy with a special focus on valuation and how the world of auction works in practice.
