Muckle LLP’s top-ranked sports, education and charities team has welcomed Anna Glover as a newly qualified solicitor.
Anna originally joined Muckle in 2022 as a paralegal in the construction team. She then moved to the sports, education and charities team in 2023 and qualified via the Solicitor Qualifying Examination (SQE) route, a new standardised exam for becoming a solicitor.
Before joining Muckle, Anna studied English Literature at Edinburgh University before taking a law conversion course at Northumbria University. She then gained further experience working as a paralegal at a boutique family law firm.
The sports, education and charities team at Muckle is ranked top tier regionally for education and charities and nationally for sport by Legal 500.
Anna said: “I’m over the moon to qualify into the sports, education and charities team. I studied for the SQE alongside working full-time, so it’s very satisfying to have that hard work pay off and to reach this milestone.
“I love the problem-solving element and getting to work with such interesting people. I’m excited to work with a broad range of clients across all three sectors, as well as developing my knowledge on the education side, including working on tribunal claims and helping schools with people-related queries.
“I’ve always felt Muckle was a great fit for me. I really like how it’s a local firm with national reach, and having three offices in the North East helps create a close-knit environment. I’m also part of the choir and netball team at Muckle, so it’s a great opportunity to meet people from different teams and departments.”
Joanne Davison, partner and head of sport, education and charities at Muckle, said: “We’re really delighted that Anna has qualified into the team. Anna has done a fantastic job juggling the demands of a full-time job alongside her studies.
“Anna has built a diverse skillset through her experience as a paralegal and this, alongside her passion for helping people, will see her develop strong relationships with our clients. We’re excited to see her grow here at Muckle.”
