RESIDENTS across Stockton-on-Tees are being encouraged to have their say in a highways and transport survey, which has been landing on doormats this week.

The comprehensive survey seeks views on local roads, footpaths, cycleways and public transport and is being sent out to a random sample of at least 3,300 residents.

It gives residents the opportunity to say which services they think councils should prioritise and improve, helping councils better understand residents’ views.

Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council is one of 112 local authorities nationwide to sign up to the survey, which is in its tenth year.

The survey is being conducted by market research specialist, Ipsos MORI, and those who receive it can complete it online if they wish.

The deadline for returning the questionnaire is Friday, August 11 and results of the survey will be available online in the autumn.
