Six-strong promotion at Archers Law

Leading Teesside law firm, Archers Law is celebrating the promotion of six of its staff members as part of its strategic commitment to developing talent within the business.

Rachel List and Daniel Flounders, who were executive associates, have been made Partners. Gillian Haines has been promoted to associate licensed conveyancer, while Helen Hunt, Joanne McHale-Young and Katie Wigham have become associate solicitors.

Daniel and Rachel had both showed significant commitment to Archers since joining the firm and this was recognised when they were appointed executive associates in 2017. They began the ‘Path to Partner’ programme, a scheme the company developed to identify individuals it expects to progress to senior management positions in the future.

Daniel was awarded the Rising Star accolade in the 2018 Northern Law Awards, and in partnership with Head of Corporate, David Adams, has overseen deal transactions with a combined value of £100million over an 18-month period.

Rachel has taken full managerial responsibility for the commercial property team since 2017, with a headcount of 10 people. Her team is Tier One Legal 500 recommended and has been recently shortlisted for Commercial Property Team of the Year in the 2019 Northern Law Awards.

Vicky Browning, Partner at Archers Law said: “The firm wished to offer a better structured career path to those individuals who we see or have an ambition as Managers of the firm in the longer term, either as potential Partners or senior non-Partners. Rachel and Dan had progressed to Executive Associate status in 2017, which set them on the Path to Partnership program. Gillian, Katie, Joanne and Helen have shown exceptional legal expertise in their field.

“After the significant commitment each individual has continued to show the firm we are delighted with their appointments to Partnership and Associate roles. Their promotions reflect the opportunity we offer to grow in to senior positions.”

Archers Law has longstanding roots in the regional area. It has grown from humble beginnings on the high street to a modern law firm employing nearly 70 talented people across its business and personal legal teams. The company has been recently shortlisted for ‘Law Firm of the Year (6-plus Partners)’ at the Northern Law Awards, with two teams also being shortlisted for ‘Family Team of the Year’ and ‘Commercial Property Team of the Year’.For more information see www.archerslaw.co.uk
