A national supplier of laser cutting solutions has appointed a new business development manager to service the North East and Yorkshire.
SSC Laser has brought on board Phil McDonnell, 41 from Newcastle, to bring its steel cutting services to organisations across Newcastle, Sunderland, Durham, Teesside, Darlington, Harrogate, Hull, York, Leeds, Wakefield and Bradford.
Tasked with opening doors to new business and securing additional sales from existing clients, Phil will use his many years of experience in laser and waterjet cutting to promote SSC’s laser cutting, tube laser cutting, folding, laser scanning, precision engineering and CAD/CAM services.
Phil said: “I’ve worked in the industry since 1992 and have even had my own company providing similar laser cutting services, so I’m really looking forward to continuing to do what I love with the support of a professional team behind me.
“During my time in the sector I’ve heard great things about SSC Laser and I’m looking forward to meeting with all of their fantastic clients, plus some new faces, and continuing to provide them with the high-quality service they’ve come to expect.”
SSC Laser is currently going from strength to strength, with sales expected to reach a record-breaking £13million by the end of 2017, and a further £17million predicted over the course of 2018.
