VISITORS flocked to Preston Park Museum and Grounds over the bank holiday weekend to experience the excitement on offer at this year’s Summer Show.
The increasingly popular World Parmo Championships were one of the main attractions on Sunday (30 August) which saw Borge, on Yarm Lane in Stockton, come away with the prize for creating the best parmo in the restaurants category while Union Jack’s from Middlesbrough picked up the takeaway crown as both retained their titles.
The competition was judged by the Parmo Hunters alongside local actor Neil Grainger and Parmstar owner John Coulson.
Other attractions enjoyed by those in attendance from Stockton Borough and beyond included performances by the Stampede Stunt Company, a falconry show and a range of live music.
