Three friends who decided to take a gamble by starting up in the first weeks of the pandemic are today celebrating international success in the iGaming and betting industry.

Leading the way from its Stockton base, Affili8 Marketing has recorded a profit in its first year, gained substantial investment of £245,000 and created five additional jobs to date.

Directors Richard Paget, Chris O’Rourke and Chris Sutherland have all worked in digital marketing for more than ten years.

The trio believed they could create an affiliate network to promote operators’ brands in iGaming and gambling that would offer them better value for money in terms of set up fees, costs when new customers join, and revenue share deals.

Chris O’Rourke said: “Having worked in the industry for a number of years we had a lot of contacts, when we were established we were approached about offering additional services, such as digital marketing to casinos, sports betting and the growing e-sports market.

“This in turn this led to us developing our own software templates to deliver some of the projects as many clients sites are not very effective on search engines.”

“In terms of the affiliate network we’ve built up 40 sites in 13 different countries and our consultancy work is helping clients operating online casinos in Canada, South Africa, Brazil, UK and New Zealand.

“It has been ‘win, win’ so far, despite the fact we are operating in a market dominated by multi-national big-name brands.

“We started to recruit in November and there are now eight of us, with plans to add five more before the end of the year.

“Our target is to grow to between £400,000 and £500,000 in year two – and we are on course to do just that.”

Affili8 is aware of its duty to promote responsible gambling and is currently working on a project it believes can be rolled out across the industry.
