Couples from across the North East can score a Valentine’s Day to remember with a special evening at Sunderland’s Stadium of Light.
On Tuesday February 14, the home of Sunderland AFC will be hosting a candlelit dinner to celebrate the most romantic day of the year.
Those attending the event, organised by 1879 Events Management, will be treated to champagne and canapés on arrival, followed by a decadent three course meal.
This includes a choice of starters, main courses and desserts, ranging from an antipasti plate of cured meats served with marinated vegetables, baby mozzarella and toasted onion sourdough, slow cooked beef in red wine served with glazed carrots and shallots, parsley mash and a port wine jus, and a chocolate fondant served with rich chocolate sauce and pistachio ice cream.
A number of vegetarian dishes will also be available, including baked goat’s cheese served with roasted ruby beetroot, rocket, watercress and walnut oil, roasted onion and tomato tart served with herb mascarpone and chive oil, and white chocolate and raspberry mousse, served with raspberry ripple ice cream and homemade biscotti.
The three course dinner will then be followed by coffee and petit fours.
As an added extra, each table will also receive a complimentary bottle of wine and a special gift to take away.
Rachel Divers, Head of Commercial Sales at SAFC, said the evening was already proving very popular.
“Valentine’s Day is one of the most romantic days of the year, so we wanted to make this year’s event extra special.
“Couples will be able to enjoy an amazing evening out and be wined and dined with fine food prepared for their pleasure by our expert chefs.”
Valentine’s Day at the Stadium of Light is priced at £60 per couple.
