MIDDLESBROUGH Theatre has something for everyone next week!

The Temperance Seven take to the stage on Thursday, June 15 with the Grand Diamond Jubilee Tour.

Who could have predicted that a band, which hit the top of the charts 50 years ago in 1961 with a song and style that were already 40 years out of date, would still be around in 2017, still playing the same style of music?

The main difference now is that the band has a vast repertoire…jazz classics from the past, original compositions, novelty numbers…so whatever your taste in jazz The Temperance Seven will play it for you.

The band had a string of chart successes, notably with  You’re Driving Me Crazy, which was Sir George Martin’s first ever number one hit, and followed by other top ten hits like Home in Pasadena, The Charleston, Hard Hearted Hannah and  The Black Bottom, and still has a huge following in the UK and abroad.

The Temperance Seven play what they like, and their enormous enjoyment is hilariously transmitted to their audiences with their zany Pythonesque humour.

On Friday, June 16 it’s time to dig out your 80s fashions and party with 80s Mania, Europe’s Official 1980’s multi-tribute concert featuring 25 chart topping pop icons authentically recreated with live band and awesome dancers.

Performing over 35 chart topping smash-hits live in concert, with tributes to Duran Duran, The Human League, Kim Wilde, Culture Club, Madonna, Wham!, Nena, Toni Basil, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Bananarama, Dead or Alive, Madness and many more!

On Saturday, June 17 one of Australia’s biggest exports Puppetry of the Penis arrives at Middlesbrough Theatre for an evening of the Ancient Australian Art of Genital Origami.

Puppetry of the Penis has now played to most of the western world, having been hosted in over 35 countries and performed in six languages. Two near naked men – they wear shoes – manipulate their nether regions using the Ancient Art of Genital Origami, providing the audience with a hilarious array of shapes and impersonations which will be projected onto a huge video screen.

This latest incarnation comes fresh from sin city itself, Las Vegas, where the show has been thrilling audiences. This show will feature all of your favourites, including the Eiffel Tower, the Loch Ness Monster, the Pelican and of course, the iconic Hamburger, but will also include a host of new installations that promise to rock you into hilarious fits of laughter.

Puppetry of the Penis is the perfect show for all occasions. Break the ice on that all important first date, thrill your friends with a birthday to remember, celebrate your divorce with a bang, and of course, this is the perfect hen party show!

This is a non-sexual show and does contain full frontal male nudity.

Tickets are £22/£20 Concessions and are available from the box office on 01642 81 51 81 or visit www.middlesbroughtheatre.co.uk
