NORTH East businesses will have the chance to quiz The Pensions Regulator over breakfast at a free event in Darlington.
Independent accountants and business advisers, Clive Owen LLP, are hosting an Auto-Enrolment Seminar with Jacksons Law Firm, in Darlington, on February 24.
Auto-enrolment legislation, which was introduced in 2014, has meant firms of all sizes having to enrol most of their workers into a workplace pension scheme.
Ian Jarvis, associate director responsible for Clive Owen’s Managed Services department, will look at financial compliance around auto enrolment; Stephen Rowntree, industry liaison manager for The Pension’s Regulator, will talk about the regulation aspects of auto-enrolment and Mark Foster, partner and head of employment law at Jacksons, will look at the legal issues.
The trio will cover:
- What Auto Enrolment means
- Sourcing your staging date
- Employment law issues on Auto-enrolment
- What issues to look out for as you go through the process
- Ensuring compliance in the most cost effective manner
Ian Jarvis said: “With fines in place for employers who are not compliant, we’re taking significant steps to ensure businesses are offered support with all aspects of auto enrolment.
“The changes happening within the payroll are significant for employers and it is vital that businesses are aware of how to comply with the legislation.”
The event will be held at Mowden Park Rugby Club, at The Northern Echo arena in Neasham Road, Darlington.
