Synergy Telecoms, a Teesside based communications provider, has received notification that Middleborough has been invited to be part of the Super Connected Cities Voucher scheme. This initiative, which should hopefully commence in April, will mean businesses in qualifying areas can get government connection vouchers, of up to £3000, toward superfast internet connections. The scheme has been running successfully in 22 other cities since 2011.
The scheme is designed to encourage business to get online faster allowing them to become more efficient, more profitable and look to create jobs, nearby cities already with the scheme include Leeds, York and Newcastle. Getting involved is simple, a business needs to contact a pre-approved supplier and obtain a quotation for superfast connectivity.

Middlesbrough have not yet officially accepted the invitation to the scheme, but with the competitive advantages available utilising funding from the scheme, full participation in the scheme should be confirmed by the middle of March.
