We are proud to announce that as of November 2016, Jason Cook’s Comedy Club will be opening our second branch in Hexham!

The award winning comedian and writer, who created and starred in the hit BBC2 comedy “Hebburn” has been running comedy shows at the Customs House in South Shields since October 2015, each one selling out months in advance. With the new Hexham venture, Cook hopes to achieve the same success.

Cook said “The Customs House shows have been successful beyond my wildest dreams. The idea I had was simple: get my funniest famous comedy friends and put them on for a reasonable price. For our opening show we have Justin Moorhouse and Tom Stade, both of whom can be seen on Live at The Apollo, 8 out of Ten Cats and pretty much every TV show in between.”

The shows will be produced in conjunction with local promoter Trevor Reay from Hexham based Blue Attic Promotions, Jason said “I knew I needed someone on the ground, who knew the local area and what people want, so when Trevor called, it was a match made in heaven, he’s a bit of a legend so I’m well looking forward to him being part of the new club”

Trevor said: I’m delighted Jason has agreed to open a second branch of his Comedy Club in Hexham. This will allow us to have line ups that rival the best comedy clubs in the country.

The first Jason Cooks Comedy Club will be on November 26 at the Queens Hall Theatre in Hexham.

Tickets: £16.00 Available from the Queens Hall Box Office on 01434 652 477 or online at www.queenshall.co.uk
