Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

Jade HelliwellJade Helliwell, who is headed to Newcastle this week

One of UK country music’s leading lights, Jade Helliwell is headed back to Newcastle this week.

This Thursday, October 17, the singer brings her How Love Goes show to Anarchy Brewing Co.

Her Tyneside performance marks a third headline show in the city.

2024 has already seen her play in the region on the Girls Night In tour, which included a night at the Glasshouse, festival performances in the UK and Europe, and even a show at Nashville’s iconic Bluebird Café.

And she has established a new regular songwriters’ night, The Company You Keep, at York’s FortyFive Vinyl Café, which has sold out on every occasion so far.

The first, and titular, single from the EP, How Love Goes (from which the tour is named), is an indicator of what fans can expect from her show at Anarchy Brewing Co.

“It’s all a little bit more country,” she says, explaining how fan support made it possible.

“The change in production is something I’ve wanted to try for a while. I ran a pre-order campaign for this EP meaning that the fans literally made this way of recording a possibility by believing in the product before it even existed.

“The tour is going to be an acoustic tour, which is different from the last tour I did, which was full band. It means I can really strip the songs back, play around with the arrangements and it suits that acoustic EP that we’re going to be releasing beforehand.”

Tickets are available from Jade’s website.
