
He racked up a wonderful double-double, pouring in 18.4 points per game and pulling down an average of 10.8 boards, which made him the league’s leading rebounder in March.
Achara also topped the charts for free-throws after posting a perfect 22 of 22, as well as establishing himself as the leading shot-blocker after swatting an average of 1.8 shots per game.
Perhaps more surprisingly, Achara was also in top spot for three-pointers which showcased his extended shooting range, as he made dropped ten triples at a superb 53% from the field.
His fine work also witnessed him make the weekly BBL All Star Five on two separate occasions.
Achara fought off competition from Plymouth University Raiders’ duo Daryl Corletto and Cory Dixon to take the award.
