Alternative Influence return with their boldest release yet: “Time 4 Her to Shine”, a powerful anthem celebrating the rise of women’s football, timed perfectly with the UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 in Switzerland this July – where the England Lionesses will defend their title.
This emotionally-charged track is paired with two official music videos, capturing the electric atmosphere of Wembley Way as fans made their way to England’s victory over Spain in February. The videos feature real match footage of the England Lionesses in action, highlighting the joy, celebration, and inclusivity that defines the women’s game – showing a vibrant, diverse community of supporters: families, children, and women of all ages. It’s a stark contrast to the aggression sometimes found in the men’s game and speaks to how welcoming and community-driven the women’s football scene has become.
“I’ve been following the women’s game since 2016,” says frontman Lee Devenport, “and have loved watching it grow. The national team’s success has inspired more domestic clubs, and now grassroots football features just as many junior girls’ teams as boys’ – it’s part of the football fabric now.”
The campaign launches with 4,000 promo cards being handed out to fans attending the England vs Belgium match at Ashton Gate, Bristol on Friday, April 4th. Alternative Influence are also proud sponsors of Radcliffe Women FC, who play in the North West Women’s League Division 1 – a reflection of the band’s commitment to uplifting women’s football at every level.
