Azets, the UK Top 10 accountancy firm, is announcing ambitious growth plans in the North East. Azets plans to create 150 new jobs in the region as part of its growth strategy to increase revenue by 50% in the coming five years.
With over 320 North East business advisors, Azets provide specialist accounting and business advisory services to growing and ambitious SMEs, with these services being delivered by local people from local offices.
The 12 offices across the region, in Stockton-on-Tees, Morpeth, Alnwick, Crook, Durham, Guisborough, Hexham, Carlisle, Seaton Burn, Sunderland, Wynyard and Newcastle ensure that businesses and individuals receive proactive advice from people who know and care about their local area.

This has included hiring 25 graduates, school leavers and apprentices across the North East in 2022 with an even larger number being recruited in 2023.
In addition to growing staff numbers, Azets is also looking to expand the services available to clients. The firm has expanded to offer a Wealth Management service, offering clients independent advice on their financial goals, with services including investment and pensions advice for individuals and employers. Working with tax colleagues across the region the Wealth Management team develop long term strategies to build wealth and provide for retirement in a tax efficient way. The joined-up approach to tax and financial planning helps to maximise and protect wealth. The team has recently appointed Jonathan Loughran as a Chartered Financial Planner working in Teesside and County Durham expanding the local delivery of these services.
