Housebuilder Banks Homes is moving into the Tees Valley for the first time with the acquisition of a new residential development site in Yarm.
The County Durham-headquartered developer is set to build up to 109 high quality family homes on the site, which sits on the southern edge of the town.
The development, which will be called The Cornfields, will include a total of 11 different property designs, ranging of three-to-five-bedroomed homes.
A formal launch event for the new development is set to take place in the spring, while the first homes at The Cornfields are expected to be ready for buyers to move into early next year.
It’s the third development site that Banks Homes has brought forward since its launch by the Banks Group two years ago, with construction work nearing completion at the luxury Symeon Court development on the Mount Oswald development in Durham City.
The first residents are about to move into their new homes at the firm’s first large-scale development, Cathedral Meadows in West Rainton, which will eventually feature up to 150 properties.
Further development sites across the North East and Yorkshire are set to be launched in the coming months.
Russ Hall, managing director at Banks Homes, says: “Banks Homes’ mission is to bring together striking design, future-proof sustainability and desirable locations to create a new blueprint for contemporary living.
“This latest site offers the ideal canvas on which we can work to these principles and it’s especially pleasing that we’ll be featuring our high specification contemporary house designs in this fantastic location.
“We’re excited to be bringing the Banks Homes brand to the Tees Valley and to be adding another location into our growing portfolio of high-quality residential developments.”
