One of our starters this week becomes our co-season leader for appearances, while there is also a debutante – although someone who is no stranger to our line-up from previous campaigns.
Cardell McFarland (Bristol Flyers)
The Flyers’ guard posted the best performance of the week as he weighed in with a huge contribution to carry his team to a much needed success against Cheshire Phoenix. McFarland certainly held the hot-hand as he fired 23 points from a well-balanced shooting display, which saw him make a fine 7 of 11 from the floor, including a flurry of triples. He also racked up a sparkling double-double after handing out a majestic ten assists, as well as pulling down five rebounds.

Alex Owumi (London Lions)
While the Lions’ swingman hasn’t previously featured this season since his mid-season arrival into the Lions, he is a familiar sight in previous years when he was a BBL Team of the Week regular with Worcester Wolves. This time Owumi has grabbed himself a slot while donning a yellow vest, after lighting up the capital with a super 19 points for London in their midweek game against Surrey Scorchers. He complimented his scoring power with an excellent eight assists and three rebounds.

TrayVonn Wright (Leicester Riders)
The Riders’ forward climbs to the top of our season leader-board alongside Eagles’ guard Rahmon Fletcher after amassing his seventh starting place of the campaign. Wright was in full flow for his team against the Eagles at Sport Central as he illuminated proceedings with a fabulous double-double of 22 points and 12 rebounds. On an excellent night of work, he also plundered three assists, two blocked shots and a steal, to help wrap up a huge victory for Leicester in the two-horse title race with their rivals.

Last weekend was no different as he guided Plymouth to an overdue derby win against Bristol Flyers after netting 23 points from an outstanding 75% shooting effort. He also did the hard work on the glass and mustered eight rebounds, while also making a big contribution defensively by grabbing three steals.
