An ambitious Teesside accounting firm has relocated its headquarters to a unique mixed-use development site to support its plans for future expansion.
Anderson Barrowcliff Chartered Accountants & Business Advisors has moved into new offices on Kingfisher Court at Bowesfield Park, which sits on the banks of the River Tees in Stockton, and which was created by regional employer Banks Property.
The firm can trace its local roots back more than 100 years, and currently employs a 55-strong team to deliver services which support the business and financial requirements of the business owners, high net worth individuals and trustees which make up its client base.
And it is aiming to make the extra space it has available to its clients to use for their own activities, conferences and events.
Anderson Barrowcliff joins a growing number of other commercial occupants at Bowesfield Park, including Sanderson Weatherall, BHP Law, Archers Law, Handelsbanken, Audi, Lexus, Toyota, digital marketing agency Colewood and nursery chain Kids 1st.
The 35-hectare site also includes over 230 homes and a 15-hectare wildlife conservation area, and plans are currently being progressed to build a further 185 homes on the site in the future.
Andrew Dewing, partner at Anderson Barrowcliff, says: “We’d outgrown our previous offices, and now have plenty of rooms and options for both formal and informal meetings, as well as a large conference space we’re hoping to use for both internal and external training sessions.
“We arranged the layout with clients in mind and are keen to offer the space to them for use, even if we’re not required.”
Anderson Barrowcliff’s newly-appointed managing partner Jerome Bury adds: “The whole team has been fantastic throughout the move.
“With the open plan layout, everyone can gain a greater understanding of how the business operates, as well as the conversations and challenges other colleagues face. The team has settled into its new space quickly which has resulted in a more integrated team atmosphere.
“The roots of our firm were established in the Tees Valley and we continue to invest in the region.”
Bowesfield Park is a fully integrated mixed-use scheme that was designed by Banks Property to have substantial wildlife habitats and recreational areas sitting alongside commercial and residential spaces.
Stuart Morgan, project manager at Banks Property, says: “An increasing number of businesses are choosing Bowesfield Park as the location in which they can develop and grow their operations, and we’re extremely pleased to be adding Anderson Barrowcliff’s name to this extremely impressive list of names.
“Bowesfield Park’s proximity to locations such as Stockton, Darlington, Thornaby and Middlesbrough, its excellent transport links and the ever-growing appeal of the maturing and highly-valued nature reserve all combine to make it a terrific place to both live and work.”
