Northumberland-based Anvil Homes has started construction of a new residential development in Slaley village in the Tyne Valley.
The exclusive development of three new four-bedroom homes represents a second phase of the firm’s award-winning Slaley scheme, with the first property due for completion in the Autumn.
The first phase, which was built in 2015, was awarded best small development at the LABC Northern region awards and highly commended at the Sunday Times British Homes Awards.
The project follows hot on the heels of Anvil Homes’ successful Briar Fields scheme in Great Whittington. The ten individually designed four-bedroom stone homes were snapped up by a range of buyers and the scheme is now sold out.
Anvil Homes is a family run business, which has been established since 1993 and specialises in bespoke rural residential developments throughout the North East region.
The firm uses the same pool of local tradesmen for all of its developments and says the Slaley scheme will support 9 jobs during its 7-month construction as well as 10 local sub-contractors and suppliers. Hexham-based Foster Maddison has been appointed by Anvil Homes as selling agent.
Alistair Carr, director at Anvil Homes said: “The Tyne Valley has a great deal to offer as a place to live for people of all ages, so we are delighted to be returning to Slaley to deliver another phase of development.
“We have incorporated a high level of design and specification into these new homes including hand-built kitchens, luxury bathrooms and efficient air source heat pump with underfloor heating which we expect will prove very popular”.
Planning permission was granted by Northumberland County Council in January 2019 for the new development which is located five miles south of Hexham and twenty miles from Newcastle.
Neil Foster of Foster Maddison said: “We are very excited to be working with Anvil Homes on their latest phase of development at Slaley. We are anticipating a strong level of interest in the three new homes as a direct result of the popularity of the location and the quality of the build.”
The new homes are available from £625,000. For further information visit www.anvilhomes.com
