Feast your eyes and tantalise your taste buds as Bishop Auckland Town Hall turns into a curry house for the evening.
On Wednesday 25 January, 7.30pm, The Chef Show will be turning up the heat on its audience during its delicious, entertaining play, promising a flavoursome behind the scenes journey on a busy Saturday night in a local curry house.
Father and son, Abdul and Kamal, struggle to deal with customers in the restaurant and staff in the kitchen, while debating on the future of their curry house.
The cast will take a short break to welcome on stage chef Azad from the Spice Lounge in Bishop Auckland. Azad will be demonstrating his cookery skills, showing the audience how to cook a spicy feast of their own at home. He’ll also provide the audience with fine cuisine tasters.
This mouth-watering drama reflects on Indian restaurants in villages and towns where staff often have little social contact with the community, other than serving food.

The Chef Show is produced by Ragged Edge Productions and written by former Emmerdale writer, Nick Ahad, whose family ran a restaurant. He now has his own show on BBC Radio Leeds.
