During their three week visit to Newcastle the delegates will be visiting Newcastle University and a number of regional manufacturing businesses, with the prime objective of exploring strategies for connecting land and sea trade routes.
Steven Harrison, Port of Tyne Chief Operating Officer, said: “We were pleased to welcome the delegation. They were interested to learn more about the Port of Tyne’s infrastructure developments and access to world-wide markets”.
During their tour the visitors took the opportunity to tour the Port’s Tyne Dock Estate and visited the recently completed Riverside Quay extension and its car terminals.
