ARE you looking for a challenge?

Children’s Heart Unit Fund (CHUF) has partnered with specialist gym and fitness centre Speedflex to raise awareness of National Heart Month and encourage Happy Healthy Hearts across the region.

CHUF is challenging people of the North East to burn 6,000 calories throughout March at Speedflex, a specialist gym and fitness centre in Jesmond, whilst raising money for the charity. Participants can join the gym at a discounted rate of £50 (usually £120), however if you raise £100 for CHUF, there will be no monthly fee to pay for March.

Charlotte Campbell, Senior Fundraising Manager at CHUF, said: “National Heart Month is incredibly special to CHUF, and with children being at the heart of the charity we want to really challenge the region to look after their own health and wellbeing, and raise money for the Children’s Heart Unit Fund.

“This amazing opportunity is a great way to get fit, improve your own health and challenge yourself in more ways than one. By raising money for CHUF, you will be helping to fund expert medical equipment used in all six District General hospitals in the Northern region, as well as services for children including Clown Doctors, playroom equipment and psychology support.”

Participants must sign up and complete a Speedflex induction by 28 February 2019 ahead of the challenge commencing on 01 March 2019. Participants must also set up their Just Giving page for CHUF to collect sponsorships, as well as get their CHUF t-shirt and sponsor form.
