Coast to Coast: Award-winning North East brewery strikes deal with award-winning retailer

Tyne Bank Brewery beers are now being stocked in Booths stores across the North East

Tyne Bank Brewery, an award-winning taproom and brewery based in Newcastle, are celebrating after striking a deal with respected food and drink retailer, Booths. The deal sees Tyne Bank Brewery’s gift set being stocked in 22 Booths stores across the region.

At Tyne Bank Brewery, ‘It’s what’s inside that counts,’ and, at Booths, the aim is simple: to sell only the best food and drink available. This commitment to stocking only the finest of foods and drinks has seen many an accolade won, including Supermarket of the Year at the 2017 Decanter Magazine Awards, and so, it’s only fitting that the long-established retailer has opted to work with the award-winning brewery.

Pete Newton, Beer and Spirits buyer at Booths, said:

“The decision to stock Tyne Bank Brewery was an easy one; they are one of a collection of great, Northern breweries that we work with at Booths. We pride ourselves on quality; stocking Tyne Bank Brewery allows our customers to discover treasures on their own doorstep,”

The gift set that is being stocked in Booths contains six of Tyne Bank Brewery’s most popular beers:

Rhubarb and Custard, a 4.4% Pale Ale, which is a real British delight and is brewed with fresh Yorkshire rhubarb, creamy lactose and Madagascan vanilla;

Mango IPA, a sweet, sessionable 4.1% Pale Ale with a blast of fresh mangoes;

Silver Dollar, the brewery’s flagship 4.9% American Pale Ale, which has won a string of awards, including a 3 Gold Star rating from the Good Food Guide’s Great Taste Awards;

Strawberries and Cream, a 3.8% Extra Pale Ale, which contains the finest strawberries combined with lactose to give a luxuriously creamy taste, and which has recently been featured in The Grocer;

American IPA, a fantastically hoppy 6% Indian Pale Ale, which is brewed with Ahtanum, Cascade and Chinook for a full flavour;

Summer Breeze, an award-winning 3.9% Light Pale Ale, which is brewed with authentic Asian root ginger and lemongrass, giving a refreshingly citrusy character and a subtle kick

Julia Austin, founder and owner of Tyne Bank Brewery, said:

“We are delighted that Tyne Bank Brewery’s gift set is being stocked in Booths stores across the North East. Booths are a well-respected brand in the food and drink industry, and so we are thrilled to have been recognised by them as a quality, local producer. Do look out for our gift set in a Booths near you and be sure to let us know what you think!”
