LOVE is in the air, as a North East hotel with a truly romantic history prepares for Valentine’s Day.
It is exactly 200 years since ‘mad, bad and dangerous to know’ Romantic poet Lord Byron tied the knot with Seaham Hall heiress Annabella Milbanke.*
Now, the award-winning five star hotel, at Lord Byron’s Walk, County Durham, is preparing to welcome other loved-up couples with contemporary dining, spa and overnight stay offers between Friday 13 and Sunday 15 February.
Those wishing to enjoy everything the 20-suite hotel and spa has to offer can take advantage of the PS, I Love You package, which includes full use of the Serenity Spa’s facilities, along with a 60 minute Total Harmony massage.
Guests will also be served a three course meal in the two AA rosette Byron’s Bar and Grill, along with a box of handmade chocolates, with one box each evening containing the prize of a free return visit and overnight stay in the hotel’s exclusive penthouse suite.
The PS I love You package, which costs from £399 per couple, also includes an overnight stay in a Junior Suite – with a half bottle of chilled Taittinger Champagne – and a full English breakfast the following morning.
Alternatively, those wishing to sample a Taste of Romance, can enjoy a three course dinner with a glass of Champagne at Byron’s Bar and Grill – and the chance to win the overnight stay in the Penthouse Suite – at the special rate of £95 per person.
Meanwhile Seaham Hall’s award-winning Serenity Spa is offering a Truly, Madly, Deeply day of pampering and relaxation.
This includes full use of the spa and thermal facilities, a two course lunch in the pan-Asian Ozone restaurant and either a 30, 60 or 90 minute spa treatment and costs from £198 per couple.
