Customers Encouraged to have their say on Bus Routes across Teesside and Hartlepool

Bus passengers across Teesside and Hartlepool are being encouraged to have their say on a number of routes across the region from services provided by Stagecoach North East.

In order to improve bus service reliability and closer meet current customer demand, the local bus operator is consulting its passengers on a number of proposed changes to services throughout the Tees Valley.

Before any changes are made, the company would like to hear the views of its customers and is asking for people to give their feedback, suggestions and other ideas they may have through the company’s website.

The proposed service changes include revisions to a number of routes, including services 34, service 35 and Service 52 in the Billingham area, to reduce the impact of traffic, as well as possible changes to the timing and frequency of some buses.

To enable customers to get as much information as possible and encourage comments, the bus company is also providing a number of drop-in centres where customers can find out more about the proposed changes. These are taking place at the following locations:

Posters and leaflets are also on display on buses to promote the consultations, as well as regular messages on social media. For more information about the proposed changes and to give feedback, please visit www.stagecoachbus.com/teesside-and-hartlepool-proposed-service-changes

David Parker, Head of Commercial, Stagecoach North East, said: “Through the consultation process we can find out exactly what our customers want and enable our buses to better serve Teesside and Hartlepool.

“We are committed to improving reliability despite increasing pressures on the road through the build up of traffic congestion and delays. We also want to develop our bus network so it can better meet the requirements of our customers, and taking on board their feedback allows us to directly respond to these demands.”
