The North East’s original fairy tale wedding venue will be weaving its magic on bridal couples this weekend.
600-year-old Lumley Castle Hotel, Chester-le-Street, will be throwing open its doors – and drawbridge – for its annual spring wedding fair, on Sunday 13 March.
And, along with the chance to view its ornate State Rooms, guests will be able to meet around 40 of the region’s leading wedding suppliers and the hotel’s team of wedding coordinators.
Florists, photographers, cake makers and stationers will join magicians, musicians -and even a barn owl ring bearer – at the four star hotel, which is licensed to hold weddings and civil partnerships.
The wedding fair will also herald the launch of the 2016 Lumley Castle wedding magazine, which outlines the various bridal packages available, showcases the castle’s facilities and features some of the couples who tied the knot at Lumley in 2015.
“While many venues claim to offer a fairy tale wedding none can match Lumley Castle, which is straight from the pages of a storybook,” said director of sales, Tina Lowes.
“It’s a fabulous wedding venue as hundreds of couples can testify and our annual spring wedding fair gives couples the perfect opportunity to see it at its magical best.”
The wedding fair will take place between 12 noon and 3pm and admission costs £1 per person.
