Paul Ritchie, site manager at Miller HomesWheatfields development in Seaton Delaval, was awarded his fifth Seal of Excellence during the second stage of the 2015 NHBC Pride in the Job Awards at York Racecourse.

As one of only 12 from the region to receive a coveted Seal of Excellence, Paul was celebrated as an outstanding site manager and awarded for his commitment to achieving the highest standards in housebuilding.

Steve Birch, area managing director for Miller Homes North, said: “Paul’s continued success at the NHBC Pride in the Job Awards is testament to his dedication to creating high-quality, sustainable homes.

“Building homes to the highest standard is our number one priority and it’s great to see Paul setting a fantastic example to his team onsite at Wheatfields and his colleagues across the wider business.”

Now in their 35th year, the NHBC Pride in the Job Awards are the UK housebuilding industry’s most prestigious honours and commemorate the outstanding work of site managers across the UK.

Paul added: “It is wonderful to have been recognised once again by the NHBC for my work. I have a great team alongside me at Wheatfields and it is with their support and commitment to creating the best homes possible as part of The Miller Difference that I was delighted to receive this award.”

The annual awards judge site managers, who are building homes that are registered for NHBC Buildmark cover, across a number of criteria including consistency of high standards, leadership, technical expertise, interpretation, health and safety as well as their attributes which help set the site manager apart.

Paul was one of two Miller Homes North East site managers to receive a Quality Award as part of the first stage of the 2015 NHBC Pride in the Job Awards earlier this year. Simon Robson, site manager at The Meadows in Framwellgate Moor, was alsorecognised.

Wheatfields from Miller Homes is a development of 190 high-quality homes set alongside mature trees and open farmland in Seaton Delaval. With prices currently starting at £162,950, Wheatfields is a development of two, three, four and five-bedroom homes.
