THE popular Fire Engine and Vintage Vehicle Show returns to Preston Park this Saturday and Sunday (June 24 and 25), with thrills and spills for all the family.
There will be more than 300 classic, vintage and historic vehicles on display, including a Rolls Royce Shadow, an E type Jaguar, a Singer 9 and collections of micro cars and Austin Gipsys.
In the main arena, highlights include a performance from the Royal Signals Motorcycle Display Team, The White Helmets.
After 90 years entertaining and thrilling crowds with their dazzling arena displays, the team will be performing as part of its final tour.
There’s also monster truck mayhem in the shape of ‘Swamp Thing’, a market area packed with craft and food stalls, as well as fairground rides and bouncy castles.
Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council’s Cabinet Member for Arts, Leisure and Culture, Councillor Norma Wilburn, said: “We’ve got another bumper summer of events in store and this show is a firm favourite with people of all ages, especially the children.
“There’s so much to see and do there and it’s all taking place in the beautiful setting of Preston Park. I’d encourage people to come along and join in the fun – there’s a great time to be had watching the shows, sampling the food and browsing the stalls.”
The event takes place from 11am to 5pm on both days.
Entry is priced £5 adults, £2.50 under 16s and pensioners, while those aged five and under are admitted free. Family entry is priced £12 (two adults and two children, or one adult and three children).
