A global manufacturing firm is marking ten years of growth at its Yorkshire base.

Andrew Sale established Global Precision, an injection moulding, tooling and contract manufacturing company, in China in 2009 – opening an office in Hawarth in 2012 to propel the business forward.

Since then Global Precision has gone from strength-to-strength, putting millions of pounds into the Yorkshire economy through its clients and workforce.

Moving to a UK factory in 2016 and then opening a factory in China the following year, allowed Andrew to develop the services offered by Global Precision and provide a more complete solution to clients.

After moving again in 2020 to a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, the firm now employs 36 people and boasts an impressive client base, including Jaguar Land Rover and the NHS amongst others.

Respected in the industry as an innovative and highly responsive manufacturing partner, Global Precision has pinned its name to the worldwide map as a quality business to work with – delivering end-to-end manufacturing solutions.

Andrew began his career in engineering as an apprentice development toolmaker before joining Rolls-Royce.

He then moved into business development where he identified that many UK businesses struggled to overcome the challenges of Far East manufacture, but would benefit from the cost effective, efficient production offered.

Believing he could bridge that gap Andrew set up Global Precision as an agency-style business to find the perfect manufacturing solutions for projects of all types.

“As a manufacturing partner to a range of business our products are very varied.  If clients have a product vision we can help – whether it is parts for coffee machines, plastic lace ties, car bumpers or masks for the NHS.

“I am so proud of the team at Global – it’s been an adventure for sure.  I started from my conservatory, and it is the support of so many people, including my family, that has helped us get to where we are today.

“The future looks very bright, and it means a lot to be able to operate in the way we do – and from such an outstandingly beautiful location.”
