Gentoo Homes paves the way for construction workers of the future

Gentoo Homes has provided pupils of Benton Park Primary School a set of construction play equipment as a way of teaching pupils the importance of health and safety around construction sites.

Foam bricks, hard hats, high vis jackets and plastic tools have all been donated to the school after the children expressed a recent interest in construction after recent renovations that had been made to the school.

Play worker, Martin Croom, said of the donation: “We are delighted to have received the generous donation from Gentoo Homes. The children love building and were particularly intrigued when work commenced at the school building a new classroom, so this play equipment has been the subject of talk throughout the school.

“The equipment has also been a great way to teach the children the importance of health and safety around construction sites, in particular the potential hazards and correct work wear.”

Anthony Lowther, Managing Director of Gentoo Homes, said of the donation: “We are thrilled to have donated a set of construction play equipment to Benton Park Primary School. Health and Safety is one of our utmost priorities and we are proud to encourage children to think carefully of the hazards that construction sites pose.”

Gentoo Homes is currently building 14 three-storey luxury townhouses at its St Bartholomews development in Benton. All houses feature a balcony and a choice of a sun terrace or atelier, providing a modern flexible living space catering for every lifestyle.
