Geonet Solutions, which offers a range of digital services including web design development and search engine optimisation, was commissioned by Nifco, an Eaglescliffe-based plastics manufacturer, to design a bespoke recruitment system and cutting-edge website to engage with prospective employees and enhance its online presence.

Established in Darlington for almost twenty years, and with a satellite studio in York, Geonet Solutions boasts an impressive portfolio of global clients including Tees Valley Unlimited, Great North Air Ambulance Service, Subway and The Labour Party.

Following the recent contract win, the company, which has 10 members of staff, is building upon its manufacturing and engineering portfolio, which already includes Whessoe Engineering, SSC Laser and County Durham Engineering and Manufacturing Network.

The manufacturing firm tasked Geonet Solutions with creating a bespoke recruitment system which was built from the ground up and tailored to meet the HR team’s recruitment requirements. The system, which launched this week will be linked directly from the community page section on the newly built website, where users can search and apply for new roles within Nifco.

The company was also commissioned to create an ‘award winning’ website which would refresh the overall look of Nifco’s site to showcase its core values while encouraging users to explore its products and services.

Jonny Overfield, creative director at Geonet Solutions, said: “We are immensely proud of the new Nifco recruitment system and website and we’re delighted that they are both now live and available for the world to see.

“Manufacturing and engineering is a great sector to work in and we have a really strong understanding of its specific requirements, which often greatly differ from other industries.  Engineering and manufacturing companies don’t necessarily require a website to generate new business but a well-executed site can demonstrate their brand, what they do and who they do it for.

“Given the skills gap in industry, now is the time for companies to step up to the next level and showcase what they can offer and I’m delighted we were appointed by Nifco to apply our software skills and showcase what can be done in the field.

“We look forward to growing our relationship with such a credible company and subsequently strengthening our credentials in the industry.”

Erika Marshall, marketing and communications manager at Nifco UK, said: “The team at Geonet Solutions are one of the most creative, knowledgeable and forward-thinking teams I have ever worked with. We tasked them with creating a website which would get people talking about Nifco for all the right reasons and the feedback we have had to date has not disappointed – a great team result.”
