A HEALTHCARE provider is getting in the swing with its 17th annual golf day for charity.
Darlington based home care provider Heritage Healthcare is again reaching out to the community for help, either with donations, auction prizes or entering a team to play. Donations and prizes are flying in thick and fast, but the event can always do with more, so that as much can be donated as much to St Teresa’s Hospice, which serves the people of Darlington, South West Durham and North Yorkshire.
The event will take place at Blackwell Golf Club, Darlington, on September 8.
Heritage Healthcare director Sally Pickersgill, who organises the day, said: “Over £196,000 has been raised since our very first golf day and it is our objective to exceed the grand total of £200,000 this year. We would love as much support as possible from local businesses and people so that we can fully support this amazing cause.”
Sally and her team are also inviting the community to join them from 7.45pm for an evening of prize presentations, a live auction and raffle draw.
Anyone wishing to join the Heritage Healthcare Team in supporting the fundraising for St Teresa’s Hospice for a game of golf, tee off times are available to book from 9am to 3pm. All times are allocated on a first come, first serve basis, and anyone wishing to register a team, make a donation, offer sponsorship or provide goods for the auction, or raffle prize please email Sally on sally@fairwaysgsp.co.uk
The cost to enter a team of four people is £200 which includes 18-hole Stableford Tournament, nearest the pin and longest drive competitions, bacon roll on arrival, one course meal after the game and a team photograph. Tee sponsorship is available for £150.
