Helen Goodman MP visits Leading Training Organisation Learning Curve Group

Learning Curve Group (LCG) welcomed Helen Goodman MP to their wonderful head office based at Durhamgate near Spennymoor.

The local MP had a tour of the head office which opened earlier this year and has recently seen an extension into a third building due to rapid growth.

The organisation employs over 430 staff members and the head office sees over 250 staff together on one single site, the company has just celebrated its 15th year in business in September.

Having grown both organically and through acquisition since 2004, LCG has become one of the largest and most diverse training providers in the country, supporting impactful training and skills strategies helping businesses meet core organisational objectives.

From short-term vocational qualifications to longer-term apprenticeships, including the best way to utilise the Apprenticeship Levy, they help over 4,500 employers every year with their workplace training plans. With several different models and access to over £20m of adult skills funding, their offer is attractive to a range of individuals and businesses.

Whilst Helen Goodman MP was visiting the three buildings, she had the opportunity to talk to their very own apprentices who spoke passionately about why they chose an apprenticeship route for their training and the impact that LCG has had on their career prospects.

Brenda McLeish, CEO, Learning Curve Group said, “It was lovely to show Helen Goodman MP, our fantastic new facilities and how we have grown since the first time she visited us at our old premises in Bishop Auckland.”

Helen Goodman MP said “I was really pleased to go to Learning Curve Group. It has grown amazingly fast, and now has 430 employees. I really enjoyed talking to the apprentices about their enthusiasm for learning new skills.”
