Invest Newcastle and leading leisure airline Jet2.com have teamed up to provide a direct flight from Newcastle to Nice for MIPIM 2019. The popular international property event will take place in Cannes on the French Riviera from 12 -15 March 2019.
MIPIM is a 4-day real estate exhibition, conference and networking event with more than 26,000 participants and more than 5,000 investors in attendance.
Newcastle City Council and Invest Newcastle lead a private sector delegation to MIPIM each year to demonstrate the region’s strengths as one of the UK’s fastest growing places in which to invest, develop or locate. It provides opportunities to make connections with top investors and developers, both from overseas and the UK, to showcase the range of development opportunities in the North East.
The Jet2.com flight will take off on Monday 11 March 2019 (returning Friday 15 March) and marks the first time that a direct flight has flown from Newcastle to Nice at that time of year. As well as giving delegates direct access to the conference, it also means local holidaymakers can fly direct to the French Riviera from Newcastle with Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks.
This year a record 30 organisations from across the region attended, as part of the Newcastle Partnership, making it the biggest delegation to date.
The Newcastle at MIPIM Partnership delivers high impact and value for money for all partners, with an exciting line up of events and speakers. The MIPIM 2019 programme is well underway and will include a welcome event, a VIP investor dinner, a daily drinks reception, on stand events and three significant partnership events (working with partners such as the Northern Powerhouse). All partner organisations will have the opportunity to pitch their schemes and services to investors and developers from across the property and development sector.
Invest Newcastle has recently welcomed Kelly Gleadow, PR and Communications Manager (pictured). She is responsible for delivering PR and wider communications activity to attract inward investment to the area. She will be working closely with all partners to help them raise their profile at MIPIM 2019.
