Screen Shot 2016-03-15 at 14.46.21County Durham jobseekers can find out how and where to look for work at a free training course next week.

The workshop, offered by County Durham Housing Group, will take place on Tuesday, 22 March, from 10am to 12.30pm at Bowburn Community Centre, Durham.

Claire Maddison, Employment and Skills Officer at County Durham Housing Group, said: “This free informal workshop will focus on finding ‘hidden’ jobs, looking at sector-specific websites, and identifying local agencies that are relevant for the jobseeker.

“Our course is useful for people who are looking for a job or even a change of career, particularly if they’re unsure of how to get into a particular field of work.

“Anyone who wants to claim their free place at one of our workshops should email employability@cdhg.co.uk or call us on 0191 349 7657.”

County Durham Housing Group’s Employment and Skills Team provides support to tenants of Dale & Valley Homes, Durham City Homes and East Durham Homes to find a job, access training, gain apprenticeships and venture into self-employment.
