Lloyd Newcastle BMW and MINI have been announced as headline sponsors of the Live from Times Square event, featuring live music from some of the biggest artists in the world.

After a successful inaugural event last summer, the organisers of Live from Times Square have pulled out all the stops to return bigger and better this time, with acts heading to Newcastle including the Manic Street Preachers, Jake Bugg and The Libertines.

Michelle Caveney, Head of Business at Lloyd Newcastle, said: “I’m a huge music fan and this is such a fantastic event for Newcastle, drawing some of the most exciting acts from across the world, that we’re absolutely thrilled to be supporting it as headline sponsors.

“Not only does Live from Times Square cement Newcastle’s reputation for being able to host some of the finest cultural events in the country, giving legions of fans the chance to see globally-renowned artists, but it also provides a huge boost for the region’s economy.”

Live from Times Square, organised by SSD Concerts, made its debut on the music scene last year when Fat Boy Slim and Primal Scream were among the artists who entertained thousands of fans. This time around, there’s another top line-up, which also includes James, Leftfield, Hacienda Classical and Brian Wilson.

Steve Davis, founder of SSD Concerts, said: “This year’s Live from Times Square promises to be an event not to be missed and we’re very grateful for the support of Lloyd Newcastle to help us to stage an event which is already established as one of the major highlights of the region’s summer season.”

Live from Times Square takes place from July 27th to August 6th. Tickets are available from livefromtimessquare.seetickets.com
