NEWCASTLE BAR AND RESTAURANT LAUNCHES FESTIVE FREEBIE OFFER

THE Laundrette opened its doors on Westgate Road last month and is marking its first Christmas in Newcastle by giving away freebies to ticket holders.

Signs that Christmas is on its way are popping up throughout the city centre and it’s no different at The Laundrette, as festive fun-seekers can bag free fizz and kids meals in the run up to the big day.

Families heading into town to enjoy an ice skating session at Life Science Centre, or any pantomime show – whether at Theatre Royal, Northern Stage, Tyne Theatre, The Pantodrome or Boulevard, can snap up the festive freebies simply by showing their ticket from the same day*.

Redeemable Sunday to Thursday from now until Christmas, grownups can sip on a complimentary glass of Prosecco and little ones can tuck into a starter of dough balls, choice of pizza or pasta, and ice cream for dessert all for free, with the purchase of an adult’s main course dish.

Louise Fawcett, general manager at The Laundrette, said: “Christmas is a huge deal in Newcastle and we wanted to spread goodwill by giving Geordies some tasty freebies. Ice Skating at Centre for Life and taking the family to see a pantomime are must-do traditions here, and anyone booked up can make it an extra special occasion with us.

“We’re also offering 25% off our Christmas food menu on weekdays for those who pre-book.”

Throughout December, diners can tuck into delicious dishes from The Laundrette’s festive lunch and dinner menu, including Wild Boar Meatball Pizza, Prosciutto Wrapped Cod, and Salted Tequila Lime Cheesecake, alongside Christmassy cocktails.

Reservations for Christmas can be made now. A festive lunch is priced at £23 for two courses, or £25 for three courses, and a festive three course dinner is £28.
