NEWCASTLE FAN ZONE TO SCREEN CARABAO CUP FINAL…

NUFC fans can watch the Caraboa Cup Final as part of a huge toon party weekend – if they’re fast.

After last night’s (Wed 5 Feb) against Arsenal, it’s full steam ahead for the final on Sunday March 16.

And anyone wanting to watch the nail-biting game can do that at the city’s Newcastle Fan Zone, if they’re quick enough to snap up tickets.

The screening of the final at Times Square is part of a packed programme of entertainment across the weekend, with tickets now on sale for the event.

VIP tables were immediately sold out the minute the final whistle blew, with less than a few hundred of the general admission and reserved seating tickets now available, for a capacity crowd of 3000.

Anyone lucky enough to get a ticket will not only get to watch the game on two giant screens but can also enjoy a 30 metre bar, giveaways and live DJs.

The fun will start from 11am with a pre-match party which will include a performance by top tribute act, Sam ofFender. (sic)

Ticket prices start from £12.50 and are available from Fatsoma, with only a small selection now available.

The Fan Zone is part of a whole programme of entertainment taking place in Times Square as part of Paddy Fest, which runs from 13 to 17 March.

Kicking off the event on Thursday 13 March is Lets Play Darts KL – a student darts event, which will be followed the next evening by Flight Night,  an action packed evening featuring top North East darts pros, who will be battling it out for a £1000 cash prize.

Flight Night – which will also offer a whole host of additional entertainment – has also proved to be a huge hit, with again only a few hundreds tickets left.

On Super Saturday, 15 March – the final day of the Six Nations tournament – rugby will replace darts in the tent from midday to 11pm, with two giant screens showing the Italy v Ireland game, followed by the Wales v England match and, later, France v Scotland.

And then on Monday 17 March – St Patrick’s Day – Paddy Fest Weekender 2025 will take over Times Square with a massive celebration courtesy of party event organiser Tropiloco – with free tickets for Irish partygoers.

The whole weekend has been organised by Newcastle-based EVNT Inspirations, who are thrilled that they can now add the cup final into the mix.

“This is really going to be the cherry on the top of what was already going to be an incredible weekend,” said Nigel Holliday, one of the directors of Evnt Inspirations.

“The response for tickets has been unbelievable – not just for the fan zone but for everything – so we’re really advising anyone who doesn’t want to be disappointed, to get their tickets asap.”
