Dr Harris, who has won multiple awards every year since they were launched in 2006, received the honour at a special ceremony in London at the weekend.
The awards, which reward aesthetic, orthodontic and restorative excellence, are considered the most prestigious in the industry, with the latest accolade confirming Dr Harris as one of the UK’s top cosmetic dentists.
Dr Harris has long being regarded by his peers and patients as an expert, with a long line of qualifications which has seen him recognised nationally and internationally as an expert in his field.
“It’s fantastic to have won one of the awards yet again,” said Dr Harris.
“They are widely recognised as the Oscars of the dental profession and winning is not just a tribute to our practice but also showcases the fact that we have world class dentistry available in the North East.”
Dr Harris is one of only two Fellows of the British Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry (BACD) which involves him teaching other dentists around the UK. He is a full member of the British Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry (BAAD), and regularly teaches USA dentists at the world-renowned Kois Center programme across in Seattle.
Over the years Dr Harris has become recognised globally for his skills and now
teaches dentists throughout Europe and worldwide.
He regularly travels across to North America and Canada, delivering lectures on aesthetic dentistry to practitioners in New York, Vancouver, San Francisco, Orange County, Fresno and San Diego in his role as the Clinical Director for California Center (sic) for Advanced Dental Studies.
The continued success of the practice has led to its expansion, with top general dentist Richard Coates, formerly of Sunderland’s Wessington Way Dental Practice, recently joining the team.
