On a Roll Sandwich Company, based in Middlesbrough, will supply its Mini’s range – created specifically for children – to the new development after touring the facility and meeting with management.
The company has worked with Alder Hey since 2012 and was delighted to be informed they would continue working with the new facility.
James Stoddart, Managing Director of On a Roll, said: “We were initially put in contact with staff at Alder Hey through our other NHS contracts. We were delighted when we were invited to see the new building and discuss the supply moving forward.
“On a Roll delivers nine different flavours for children to choose from, and we also supply our sandwiches to the retail outlets within the hospital.
“We wish all the staff the very best with the opening and are looking forward to seeing our products in the new development.”
On a Roll has contracts in a broad range of industries including transport, education and most recently celebrated a dramatic increase in health contracts thanks to its specifically tailored Nourishh range.
The continuing relationship with Alder Hey Hospital is the latest in a long line of achievements for the sandwich manufacturer, which recently beat off tough competition to take away Food and Drink Manufacturer of the Year at the Made in North East awards.
James added: “We were delighted to win the Food & Drink category as there was some extremely tough competition who had been shortlisted alongside us.
“It is nice to be recognised in any awards ceremony, we’re looking forward to putting up our trophy in the new headquarters.”
On a Roll is currently in the process of moving its 130-strong workforce to a new purpose-built factory in Riverside Park, Middlesbrough. This will create 100 new jobs for the region.
