Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

PACKED WEEKEND OF FAMILY FUN AT LINTZ HALL FARM

A NORTH EAST event company is raising the heat for families looking to celebrate Bonfire Night this weekend with musical singalongs, illusion and a huge firework display.

There will be entertainment for all ages at Lintz Hall Farm, near Burnopfield, with the return of The Big Blaze tomorrow evening (2 November), along with an extra date for the Family Fright Fest during the day.

Fans of the spooky season can extend the holiday when Family Fright Fest returns from 10am to 3:30pm, with activities for little ones and parents to enjoy.

Families can choose a pumpkin from the patch, test their skills at wizard school, make the most of some Halloween street theatre or visit the food village, watch stage shows and more, finishing with a huge parade across the site

Then, a packed programme of music and stage shows will kick off for The Big Blaze from 4pm, including fairground rides, a The Greatest Showman singalong, aerial artists and Zodiac the Illusionist showcasing his skills with a family friendly show.

Activities will move outdoors to light a giant bonfire at 6pm, followed by a fire and angle grinding performance and a firework display set to music, created by an award-winning company.

A huge food and drink village is on hand to help visitors warm up indoors, with Hatch 76, Tango Burgers, Parm-O-Rama, Little Fishy and Smokie Joe’s just some of the vendors on offer.

Those looking to make a night of it can enjoy on stage entertainment and a set from DJ Fire Starter until midnight, with bars offering mulled wine and cider, beers from Wylam Brewery and drinks at Gin and Tipi and Psycho Sid’s gin and fizz bar.

Nigel Holliday, of 700 Acres, which organises both events, said: “The Big Blaze is a huge operation and I really believe we’ve ticked every box when it comes to delivering the wow factor.

“We’ve got something for the whole family to enjoy, with the more traditional aspects of the evening like the bonfire and a fireworks display, along with some really exciting performers and vendors who will make the event something really special.

“We’ve been delighted with the response to the Family Fright Fest and because Halloween is over so quickly, we’ve added an extra date to give children another chance to celebrate it this weekend.”

Tickets for The Big Blaze start at £5 and the event is free for those under the age of two. Car parking passes are available for £5.
