THE UK’s largest holiday park operator Parkdean Resorts is celebrating recognition after winning an award at the SundayTimes 100 Best Companies to Work For.
The 16th annual survey, ranking the best of Britain’s employers, was held at the Battersea Park function room and saw Parkdean Resorts enter for the first time, placing at number 85 in the list.
Entrants are awarded based on data collected from anonymous surveys completed by staff, ensuring feedback and opinion regarding the company comes directly from the people whose hard work impacts on the success of the business.
In November 2015, Parkdean and Park Resorts merged to form the largest holiday park operator in the UK – Parkdean Resorts – with a combined total of 72 holiday parks stretching across the country, serving 1.8 million customers, have 22,200 caravan owners and 35,400 pitches.
With the company’s headquarters based at Gosforth in Newcastle upon Tyne and Hemel Hempstead; collectively Parkdean Resorts employs over 1,400 permanent staff and over 3,800 seasonal employees.
With Parkdean’s strength in the South West and Scotland, and Park Resort’s sites predominately located on the Isle of Wight, on the East Coast and in the North West, including the Lake District, the merger has created an unrivalled offering for holiday makers, providing even more choice of fantastic UK destinations to choose from.
