A SPECTACULAR weekend packed with death defying stunts, hot air balloons, dogs shows and fairground fun will also be offering a taste of international cuisine.
Party in the Park is all set to take place at Middlesbrough’s Stewart Park from Friday 6 to Sunday 8 June.
And along with an exciting programme of entertainment with something for everyone, organisers have just unveiled the array of street food that will be on offer.
The huge celebration will culminate in a special hot air balloon glow night on Saturday 7 June, where the tethered balloons will be lit to create a memorable display.
But visitors don’t need to wait until night fall to see them, as they will be tethered up throughout the weekend for visitors to get up close.
Organisers, Crow Events, have just revealed the exciting range of food that will be available throughout the weekend, as well as a number of licensed bars.
That includes Greek favourites, Gyros, corndogs, beef brisket and pulled pork, Chinese noodle dishes and fish and chips, with churros and doughnuts available for anyone with a sweet tooth.
“We wanted to give visitors as much variety as possible when it comes to food,” said organiser, Ryan Crow.
“And so we’ve brought together not only the best dishes from around the world but some of the best street food traders.”
The packed programme of entertainment includes live music performances by a range of tribute acts and visits by favourite character mascots, as well as a motorbike FMX stunt team, which will perform death defying manoeuvres.
Fairground rides suitable for everyone from white knuckle thrill seekers to tiny tots will also be on offer, along with an inflatable mega slide and bungee trampolines.
On Friday 6 Party in the Park will take place between 4pm and 10pm, with the event running from 11am until 11pm on Saturday and 11am until 7pm on Sunday.
Entry costs £2 on the Friday and £5 on Saturday and Sunday and visitors can pay on the door.
Rides carry an additional cost but everyone will also receive £10 worth of discount ride vouchers. Children under 80cm in height can attend free of charge.
The hot air balloon displays are weather dependent and in the case of strong winds, can not be inflated.
