Bishop Auckland Table Tennis Club’s Secretary Carol Rodway has been honoured by being awarded North East volunteer of the year in the Pride of table tennis awards run by Table Tennis England.
A total of 10 regions around the country have named their winners in four categories – Volunteer of the Year, Young Volunteer of the Year, Coach of the Year and Contribution to Table Tennis with each winner being considered for the National award.
The Pride of Table Tennis Awards National awards will be held during the PG Mutual National Championships at the Copper box in London on the 3rd and 4th of March.
Carol hard work, delivering coaching sessions in schools, doing the clubs registers and catering at the clubs tournaments along with all the clubs social events.
Bishop Auckland Table Tennis club has also been shortlisted for club of the year this is the 2nd time in three years the club has been finalists winning the award back in 2016.
