Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

ProForecast’s Steven Katirai has been shortlisted for the Small Business Entrepreneur of the Year

ProForecast founder Steven Katirai has been shortlisted for the Small Business Entrepreneur of the Year category at the 2019 NatWest Great British Entrepreneur Awards for the North East region!

This award recognises the achievements of those that have mastered the balancing act of the small firms. It celebrates the resilience, fortitude and the vital role these small entities play in building Britain’s global reputation as an incubator for ideas and business growth.

Steven Katirai has been an outstanding example of such resilience and fortitude. He came up with the idea after the Northern Rock crisis in 2008 once it became difficult to get anything done. Steven Katirai took it upon himself to utilise his skills of forecasting and strategic planning to support other SMEs by developing a product that helps them to get better business results.

Now after another year in business, Sunderland based CPM and forecasting software company, ProForecast, is continuing to grow through their established partnership with SAGE plc and a solidified position in SAGE marketplace as a remarkable forecasting tool.

Additionally, Steven Katirai and ProForecast have established a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) with Sunderland University to create a ground-breaking, intelligent validation and forecasting tool. Using AI and Data Science and incorporating behavioural finance on both a micro and macroeconomic level, this development will moderate the forecasting results by looking at a wide range of economic, social, cultural and competitor factors to refine and enhance the validity of the predictions.

Steven Katirai continues to focus on making ProForecast the most efficient forecasting tool available for business by advancing the use of AI in the Fintech industry.
