ONE of County Durham’s most popular venues will be setting the sky alight next month (November) with a bonfire night Fireworks Extravaganza.
On Tuesday 5 November, the historic country park surrounding Hardwick Hall Hotel, at Sedgefield, will play host to visitors of all ages.
And along with a spectacular firework display, and supersize bonfire there will be street food vans and fairground rides.
There are two types of ticket available; a general admission ticket, which offers standing room only and a VIP Benchshow ticket.
This is suitable for parties of up to six people, including children, who can enjoy the firework display from a VIP bench on the lower lawn, with two car park passes also included.
An earlier Fireworks Extravaganza event, on Sunday 3 November is already sold out and Tim Boyd, General Manager at Hardwick Hall, said tickets are “flying out” for the 5 November date.
“I really would urge anyone who hasn’t yet booked to do so,” he said. “We really are pulling out all the stops with a dazzling display and a traditional Guy Fawkes bonfire in the stunning grounds of the hotel.”
Admission is by ticket only and these must be purchased in advance with access on the night restricted to ticket holders, whose barcodes will be scanned on arrival.
Gates open at 5pm with the evening expected to draw to a close at around 8.30pm and rides and street food are not included in the ticket price.
General admission tickets cost £6.50 each, with children under five going free. A £3 parking ticket is also required to park at the site, which must be purchased in advance.
VIP benches cost £75 and include two free parking passes.
Bookings can be made via the website at www.hardwickhall.co.uk and must be bought in advance as there will be no availability on the night.
