Robert Little, once known as disruptive at his Newcastle school, has transformed
his lifelong struggles with attention and behaviour into a story of self-discovery,
resilience, and inspiration. Today, he celebrates the release of his new book, My
ADHD Superpower, which explores how understanding his ADHD has turned his
challenges into strengths.
Growing up, Robert often found himself on the wrong side of the classroom rules. “Back
in the day, kids like me were just called ‘troublemakers and naughty’” he recalls. “We
didn’t have the tools to understand what was really going on.”
Robert was told he was too much, too hyper, too loud, but it wasn’t until adulthood that Robert discovered his ADHD was his superpower, a revelation that allowed him to reframe his past and see his unique traits as assets rather than liabilities.
“My ADHD Superpower” is more than a memoir. It is a practical guide and workbook
that helps readers, particularly young people, understand ADHD, recognise their own
strengths, or understand someone who does, and develop strategies to thrive.”
The book has already reached Amazon’s Number One spot for downloads in its category in UK, Canada and USA, with readers praising its ability to empower and educate.
Robert’s journey has been anything but conventional. A multi-talented entrepreneur,
author, and ADHD ambassador, he has founded businesses—from canvassing
communities with free energy solutions, to building teams, Robert’s companies have
helped thousands reduce their bills, contribute towards saving the planet, planted hundreds of trees, and created the popular podcast The Big Red Show, featuring real stories of
personal growth.
He has used methods such as breathwork, meditation, cold-water immersion, and generally connecting with nature to manage his ADHD, emphasising that medication is not the only path to balance and focus.
“ADHD can be a superpower,” Robert explains. “There are times when I’m bursting with
energy and creativity, and other times when I need to hibernate and recharge. The key is
to understand your own rhythms, embrace your strengths, and be kind to yourself along
the way.”
The book is designed to be interactive and a real-life guide to ADHD. It is short, but
powerful, with big energy, simple words, a few activities and space to write in it to help
the reader reflect and grow. Robert hopes it will serve as a valuable tool not just for people
with ADHD, but for anyone seeking to better understand themselves or someone they
care about.
“The feedback has been amazing,” enthused Robert. “It is being used by children who have
ADHD and read by adults who identify with the challenges to help unlock potential.”
Based in Newcastle, Robert continues to combine his passion for community, personal
development, and the environment, as every book sold contributes to Northumberland
Wildlife Trust. Northumberlandia is a place where Robert spends a lot of time engaging with the outdoors and wildlife.
Robert will be attending a tree planting event at Northumberlandia with Northumberland Wildlife Trust on 5 April – Easter Sunday.
My ADHD Superpower is available now on Amazon in both digital and print
formats. Robert is available as a guest on podcasts and as a paid speaker at events.
